The composition of 100%, marked by a dashed line on the abscissa, indicates a free fatty acid component equal to that found in A. mellifera wax; a composition of 50% represents half the normal concentration, 200% double, and so on. The linear relationship between percentage free fatty acid (FFA) and yield strength is described by the equation y = 0.0078x + 3.324. N = 3 samples for each concentration, except 100%, for which N = 6.
